Interactive Touch Books was founded by two dads who tinkered with technology by day and read Goodnight Moon by night. Their toddlers fussed and the dads surrendered their iPads to the cradle. At first, they were amazed by their kids’ agility with the device, but soon realized that the tablet was more intuitive to a two-year old than a bottle. But their grand discovery was soon hampered by the lack of age-appropriate apps and quality content. Recognizing a need in the market, they set about to solve this problem for fellow frustrated parents, and their brainchild became Interactive Touch, a platform to develop high quality interactive media for mobile devices and and iphone/ipad app to connect talented authors and illustrators with their readers.
And now, with nearly 100 professional authors, illustrators, and publishers in our network, Interactive Touch is constantly publishing lots of great books and games.
Ameen Saafir
CEO & Founding Dad
Formerly a senior engineer at Dupont and Samsung, Ameen is an expert in organic LED flat screen displays. He cofounded his first technology company, Getinventory, in 1999 while at Stanford University. Ameen holds a B.S. and M.S. in Material Sciences from Stanford.
David Crutchfield
VP of Engineering
David brings over a decade of engineering and product experience to Interactive Touch from companies such as VMware, SpringSource, Attributor, BEA Systems and Plumtree Software. His tenure at Plumtree Software (now Oracle) extended through both the company’s IPO and acquisition. David holds a B.S. in Computer Science from West Chester University.
Raffaello Colasante
VP of Mobile
Prior to Interactive Touch, Raffaello developed the Citrix Online’s GoToMeeting products focusing on iPad and iPhone clients. Additional mobile projects developed by Raffaello include Forvo Pronunciations, a user-driven pronunciation app, and Swell Info, a surf forecast app consistently in the top ten most sold apps.. Raffaello holds a B.S and M.A. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
David Selinger
Chairman & Founding Dad
An expert in the field of eCommerce data analytics and personalization, David’s roles have included leadership of Amazon’s Data Mining and Personalization team and Vice President of Software Development and Data Mining at Overstock.com. David also cofounded Redfin, industry-leading real estate brokerage company. David received his B.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University.
